2017 Spring HOPE Food Drive
CAPREIT residents play a big part in helping local food banks!
Each year, buildings across Ontario participate in the Spring HOPE Food Drive. The food drive has been a yearly event in Ontario for the last 10 years and was designed as a means for residents to have an opportunity to easily donate to their local food banks from the comfort of their own home.
CAPREIT staff volunteer their time on the day of the drive by reaching out to our residents and asking them to donate non-perishable goods. In association with the Greater Toronto Apartments Association, The Fair Rental Policy Organization of Ontario and the London Property Managers Association all donated items are then picked up at the buildings and brought to organizations such as the Daily Bread Food Bank, The North York Harvest Food Bank and the Mississauga Food Bank.
We were in awe when we saw the amount of food donated to the Spring HOPE Food Drive this year. Many communities filled multiple shopping carts full of non-perishable items!
CAPREIT would like to thank our amazing residents across Ontario for their donations. We would also like to thank our incredible staff who collected the goods and made the event possible.
Our residents and staff are what make us proud!
